Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City Hotel Reviews
Royal Pearl Hotel (Tan Hoang Ngoc)
BookLocation: Ben Thanh Market area
From: USD 45.00
We had the delux room and it was very comfortable and a perfect place to rest up. The location was great and for a busy city with a lot noise the street is pretty quiet. If someone wants luxury I guess they would need a step up I guess. I would stay there again. - 02/07/2008, Mrs. zena hyman
This indeed is one of the hotel I will definitely recommend. Especially for those visitor who like to do shopping, is so near to Ben Thanh Market. Highly recommended!!- 07/06/2008, Mr. Soo Yong Chew

Le Duy Hotel

The hotel is quite nice. Modern decor, good location, nice breakfast buffet spread, etc. The only complain I have is the room sound proofing, or rather, the lack of it. You can clearly hear people talking in the hall or when your neighbour take a shower. It is quite irritating as it happens in the morning while you are still asleep. - 27/06/2008, Mr. Jimmy Wimenta Oei
It was a satisfactory hotel. Nothing outstanding and nothing to complain about. Reception staff were friendly and willing to help you with travel bookings in their spartan English. Breakfast had a good variety and Internet was free which was useful. While room was clean and tidy, it was rather small. Restaurant staff wasn't too helpful though. - 31/03/2008, Ms. Raewyn Tan

Elios Hotel
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area
From: USD 44.00
Stayed in Deluxe room which have 3 super-single beds so it's superb for 3 of us. Looks old but it's spacious, cleaned and comfortable for my child. Bathtub keeps my child happy although there's no pool. Kid may like the saigon river looking at the ships. Staff is not very friendly but fine enough to attend to our needs. English speaking. Quieter traffic compared to Phan Ngu Lao area. Meter Taxi cost less than US$2 to go to Pham Ngu Lao area/Ben Thah Market. Suggest take a stroll there as can look at the shops etc and return by taxi. Only 7km from airport. MUST bargain the price when approached! We paid US$10 though some "offered" US$20+! Clean, spacious taxi in HCMC. Exchange your Dong there as the rate is better than in S'pore! Book your 1/2 or full day tour with agency in Phan Ngu Lao area. Many agency there and at barely US$9/person. Travelled by coach with a group. Private one cost US$60-80! Definitely must go to Mekong River & Cu Chi tunnel. It's an experience. Remember poncho & umbrellas as tour guide continues even it's a stormy weather! I am very pleased with the service provided by http://www.saigonhotel-link.com. They give me very prompt and friendly service. I desperately need to confirm hotel and response from them is the fastest among the other online booking agency. Correspond well in English.- 10/06/2008, Ms. Pauline Cheng
We stayd at hotel Elios 20-22 January 2008 and are very pleased with our stay. The location is O.K, just 15-20 minutes work to to most of central sights and market. And the best of all: there were no noise during the night either from inside or outside hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I visit Saigon an other time I prefer this hotel.- 25/01/2008, Mrs. Marja-Liisa Nordlund

Hai Long 1
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area
From: USD 30.00
Had a deluxe room for a party of 4. It was clean. Breakfast was horrible. There wasn't much choice. If you're travelling with the elderly, skip this hotel especially if you're staying on the first floor. Although they have elevators, you still have to climb the stairs to your rooms. However, its only about 05-10mins to Ben Thah market. If you need viet dongs, there are money changers near ben thah or you can go to Zen Plaza, a mere 05mins fom the hotel. Good for backpackers. - 16/05/2008, Ms. Rosilah Rahim
Great hotel, wonderful experience visiting Ho Chi Min City staff at Hai Long 1 hotel were very efficent, deluxe room was large clean with all the mod cons.Overall impression was great will definitely stay here again. One comment the option of cereal and toaster at breakfast to cater for westerners taste buds. Duc Vuong Hotel
BookLocation: Pham Ngu Lao Area
From: USD 10.00
DV staff was friendly and courteous. The only inconvenient issue was the AC. Everytime the room's key is removed from the holder, it shuts down the power to the AC. In doing so, when guest returns to the room, he/she has to wait for a period to cool down as power is available. Breakfast menu could use some improvement.- 12/01/2008, Mr. Thien Ta
