Day 1: Saigon - Vinh Long
07:30 Meet at our Innoviet Office, 203 Pham Ngu Lao. Start the trip by taxi to the boat station. Get an express boat trip (if available) to Vinh Long; this is an amazing trip. You will pass through different views from Vam co dong to the upper and lower Mekong River, along the wide river and small canals as well.
11:00 Arrive at a small village - non touristy town in Vinh Long Province, only available to Innoviet Tours. Take a boat around the island, here you will see daily activities of the local people along the river, You can observe how people make their living from the fruit trees, rivers. rice industry.
13:00 Motor boat brings you to the homestay, get acquainted with the family. Here you will have lunch with the host family. Relax.
15:00 Walk around village, go to a garden, get some tropical fuits and then try to cross a river on monkey bridge. Get some herb to boil for bathing (this has been used as shampoo in Vietnam). You will learn some tropical plant names and try to guess the names of them just by your nose!
17:00 Back to the family, prepare for dinner. At night, we row a boat through the canals and observe fire-flies before sleeping in one of the typical houses of the Mekong Delta.
Day 2: Vinh Long - Saigon
7:00 Visit the floating market in the early morning and see how people live and trade there. Visit a market on land. The boat will take you to a brick factory and a local temple and back to the homestay to join in cooking lunch. Enjoy your dishs done by yourselves, take a rest, and say good bye to the host family. 13:30 Car back to Ho Chi Minh City, arrive at InnoViet at 17.30PM.
