Mekong delta 3days - Cambodian Border End Tour - INNO-D4

You will go through Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho province and Chau Doc (border of Vietnam to Cambodia). You get a 5 hours express boat trip to Phnompenh (Cambodia).

Day 1: Saigon - Vinh Long

7 am: Start the taxi trip to boat station.

8 am: Get a local express boat trip (3 hours) to Vinh Long. It is an amazing trip - you will pass through different views along a wide and small river.

11 am: Arrival at a small village, non-touristy town in Vinh Long province, only available at Innoviet . Here you will see the daily activities of the local people along the river, and sellers and buyers bargaining and exchanging fish, etc. You can observe how people make their living from fruit trees, the river and rice paper industries, where you can also participate in making rice paper.

1 pm: Moto boat takes you home to get acquainted with the family. Here you will have lunch with the host family and relax afterwards.

3 pm: Cycle for about 2 hours around the village shaded by banana, rabutan and pomelo trees, and passing the immense green rice fields and admire the beautiful scenery. You will see the local children making their way to and from school in their beautiful Ao Dai uniform. Visit some houses to meet local people and see their real lives, and be greeted by their warm welcome in the process. You will be given an overview of the "Making Rice Procedure" in one rice workshop. Get to know about the "same but different" trees in the Mekong Delta. You will practice these names and try to guess the names of these trees just by your nose!

5 pm: Back to the family, where you will prepare to cook dinner and then have dinner. After that, we row with a boat through the canal and witness the fire-flies before retiring for the night to sleep in one of the typical houses of the Mekong Delta.

Day 2: VINH LONG - CAN THO

7 am: Visit the floating market in the early morning and see how people there live and trade. The boat will take us to see some traditional local bricks and visit a local temple, rice paper workshop where you can also participate in making rice paper.

You will walk through the fruit gardens and fields, feed the fish and help to cultivate farm products. Then you will also have the chance to participate in making Vietnamese rice papers at a local house and head back home to join in making lunch (spring rolls or banh xeo). You can enjoy your meal, take a rest, and say goodbye to the host family.

After lunch, take a stroll through the village.

4 pm: Take a boat to Can Tho; arriving around 5 or 6 pm, and then check into your hotel.

7 pm: Free time for the night.

Day 3: CAN THO - CHAU DOC (Border to Cambodia)

6h30 am: Take a boat trip (five hours) to see Cai Rang floating market and learn how to make local products such as rice noodles, then take a slow boat trip along the small beautiful canals and, stop to visit the vegetable garden.

Have lunch and then take the car to An Giang province.

4h30 pm: Arrive at Tra su cajuput forest; take one hour boat trip through forest to see amazing natural bird life.

5h30 pm: Back to the car to go to Sam Mountain area to stay overnight.

6 pm: Check into the hotel and have free time at night.

Day 4: CHAU DOC - PHNOMPENH(Cambodia)

7h30 am: Car picks you up from hotel to boat station. You get on the express boat to Phnompenh.

(1pm: Arrive at Phnompenh.)

End of the trip, see you again.

- Hotel in Can Tho: Xuan Mai hotel (two-star hotel): Standard room (air conditioned)
