“Bonsai I” stands for the biggest existing dragon boat in Vietnam and is a replica of a royal Vietnamese-style dragon boat dating back to the 19th century. It is a multi-purpose boat used for event dining and conferences instead of the usual tedious business-style meetings within four white walls. Private parties and dining spectacles are held on Bonsai I on a regular basis.
Made of high class "Sao" wood (Hopea odorata) from Khanh Hoa Province and built from scratch in 2004, the boat is 40m long, 9m wide and about 11m high. The wooden dining and meeting platform can carry up to 160 passengers. On board the two decks are two stylish bars - the Cocktail Lounge and Village Bar, the large buffet and dining deck, live cooking stations, show stage, wheel house, toilets, and a fully operated kitchen.
A two-hour lunch cruise offers a light buffet for a minimum group of 30 people. An European and Asian buffet will is a delight for guests.
